Spring Lunch
Although the Aberfoyle Mill restaurant had been the go-to place for our lunches for many years, and despite the fact that the Mill had been good to us, providing private rooms and servers with incredible memory for who ordered what drink, concerns had been expressed abut the washroom facilities which were not very accessible for guests with mobility issues. Some of the class had gone through various replacements and repairs that made navigating the stairs at the Aberfoyle Mill difficult. Tom & Vic started to search out new venues with comparable food quality and more accessible washroom facilities.
After some time, and presumable the odd lunch and beer, they found an alternate restaurant called the Symposium Café, in Guelph, which had a number of the features that they were looking for – a separate dining room, accessible washroom facilities, easy access off the Hanlon Expressway (Hwy 6 North), extensive menu options, and reasonable prices.
